Moneybase was born out of the vision to make finance easier and redefine the way people grow and manage their money. Tired of overcomplicated finance management apps, full of jargon and un-friendly interfaces, they set out to simplify the experience, using community feedback and data to build a new generation fintech platform.
I helped Moneybase build a strategy and brand stemming from their core belief: Managing finances should be easy for everyone.

Taking care of your money should be simple for all. The strategy focused on the simplified, honest and human element of Moneybase: no bots here! I developed a set of values and clear mission for the brand as well as a straight-talking Tone of Voice and messaging, to communicate the brand’s personality. This also inspired the Moneybase tagline: Make money simple.
Simplicity in Design
Moneybase represents a fresh approach to digital finance. A functional identity system was created, building on the logo designed by Miles Newlyn, combined with a colour palette that reflects their empowering, inclusive attitude. The typographic approach further highlights the simplicity of their product by using the typeface Gellix.
The Art Direction was developed in such a way that would allow the internal team to execute campaigns and digital templates with ease. The Moneybase cards are based on a simple grid system that clearly defines the different tiers. The same grid system was used in the packaging and advertising design to bring the brand identity together.
